In 2021, Ana was a junior at James Madison Memorial High School. She competed at the Wisconsin State Track and Field championships as a freshman in 2019 after taking-up track for the first time. Prior to that she was co-captain of the cheerleading team and a very talented self-taught tumbler.
Ana possesses sheer raw talent that she combines with grit and an unmatched work ethic that drives her toward constant improvement. After missing the 2020 track and field season, Ana Ashworth was excited to return as a junior where she placed fifth in the 100m hurdles and qualified as part of the 4x100 and 4x200 teams.
The 100m hurdles have been Ana's featured event, and she has also shown great promise in the 100m and 200m.
Ana competed in the 100 meter dash twice this year and on both occasions posted a time of 12.7.
Overall, Ana's work in the weight room during the pandemic paid-off as she went from 15.9 to 15.02 and ran a 15.11 at the state meet in pouring rain. With steady training and commitment to the process, Ana seeks to improve her 100m hurdle time to the mid-to-low 14s by the end of her senior year.
Ana Ashworth continues to train hard in the off-season with help from her high school coach, Drew S, along with training guidance from her Dad, John Ashworth - a long time strength and conditioning coach and personal trainer, and former All-American himself.
