I'm right back in it!

The first thing you feel is the presence.  The energy that lives inside the walls of a Kinesiology program.  The same energy you'll feel if you ever attend a conference devoted to fitness and speaking directly to fitness professionals.  I love it.  It's beautiful!  It's alive!  Wow, look at all those exclamation marks...

If you're a student, make sure you relish the experience.  The same way you enjoy the blooms that come only once a year.  The blooms I noticed today on my drive in from the airport.  Because there's no guarantee you'll find anything quite like it in the trenches of our culture.  A place where that energy is often missing.  Sucked into a vacuum somewhere.  Deep in the forgotten history of people who used to move more and eat less.

The main thing is that it's great to be here.  Soaking in the glow.  Listening to that energy.  Remembering what it was like to be a graduate student at San Jose State.

For now, I've included some pictures from my tour of the facility and from my trip this afternoon.  Then I'm looking forward to a good dinner.  I'm hungry and I believe I deserve it after a long day.

Hope to see you at the Miller Lecture tomorrow...
