A salesman makes the world go round…

My Dad once said to me, "John, a salesman is what makes the world go round."  I felt pride when he said it.  I immediately understood his full meaning.  I had just taken a position selling rehabilitation products back in California in the late nineties.

More recently, I heard a colleague say their brother in law really let him have it when he noticed 'Salesman' as the title on said colleagues business card.  As if the word should be an insult to a prospective customer.  That saddened me.

Timid salespeople don't just limit themselves but they have the potential of doing harm to the American Society and economy and it's ability to feed our children.  YOU as a salesperson have the duty to work as a devoted professional in offering the goods you sell.  You, those goods, and the transaction's ability to stimulate the economy are all important.
